Soft Maple Prime Natural
Soft Maple Prime Natural is our highest yielding grade, at a minimum, 83-1/3% clear face cuttings and 66-2/3% on the back. Soft Maple Prime Natural is unselected for sap on both faces. Unlimited heartwood and stain are not considered defects. Soft Maple Prime Natural is ideal for applications requiring long, wide clear-face cuttings or multiple rips and chops. Minimum cutting sizes of 3” x 7’ or 4” x 5’. Burls, streaks and spots are part of this grade.
We grade after drying and surfacing, and against all natural drying or surfacing defects (pin knot no defect).
