Our Service Center brings a unique value to the wood products industry by allowing us to ensure on-time delivery, to offer mixed loads and provide a true one-stop shopping experience for our customers. We bring everything our customers need together.

It begins with the industry’s widest range of hardwood products. Domestic and imported hardwood lumber, and hardwood plywood, any or all can ship on the truck together. NWH’s Service Center, located in Loudonville, Ohio, also offers value-added services beyond our manufacturing facility capabilities.

Surfacing: Take advantage of our surfacing capabilities to get finished thickness lumber with a smooth finish and consistent color.

Ripping: Straight-Line-Ripped and One Edge rips designed specifically for your company’s needs.

Sorting: Receive bundles sorted by width, length, and species color characteristics.

Legal, Sustainable, Abundant Resource

North American Hardwoods are among the most plentiful and well-managed natural resources in the world. Hardwood forests naturally regenerate themselves and do not require planting. The preferred method of harvesting is single-tree selection. This provides a sustainable supply and ensures the overall health of the forest – including water quality, wildlife habitat, and biodiversity. As a result, the volume of hardwoods has more than doubled since 1950.

FSC Chain of Custody

FSC is an international nongovernmental organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. To learn more, visit www.fsc.org.

PEFC Chain of Custody

PEFC is the world’s largest forest certification standard promoting sustainable forest management through independent third-party certification. PEFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to ensure good forest practices and wood sourcing. To learn more, visit www.pefc.org.

NWH can offer PEFC certified and PEFC Controlled Sources material originating from forests certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), American Tree Farm System (ATFS) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA Z809).
