Appalachian Species & Grades

Hard Maple #1 Common Natural yields at minimum 66-2/3% clear 1 face cuttings with a sound back. Minimum cutting sizes are 4” x 2’ or 3” x 3’. Each Hard Maple #1 Common Natural is unselected for color on both faces. Burls, streaks and spots are considered on grade. We grade after drying and surfacing, and against all natural drying or surfacing defects (pin knot no defect).
