Western Species & Grades

Alder CAB grade lumber is a combination grade of (Blended) Cabinet and Custom Shop. Minimum yield is 66-2/3% clear face cutting with reverse face sound back cuttings, as described in the Sound Cutting Rule. Alder CAB is a great fit for casegoods, drawer sides, and cabinets if you don’t need heavy to clear face cuttings front and backs. We grade after drying and surfacing, and against all natural drying or surfacing defects (pin knot no defect).
