Western Species & Grades

Alder K-Strip grade is used for rustic and distressed furniture with sound and unsound defects. As a structural and appearance grade board, it can be also be used for upholstered and knock-down frames.  The best face yields 66-2/3% structurally sound cuttings while the back is STD/FRM or Better. Widths run from 3 3/8” to 5 ¼” and lengths 6’ and longer. We grade after drying and surfacing, and against all natural drying or surfacing defects (pin knot no defect).
