HMA Spring Regional Meeting Visits NWH Dorchester
On May 20, 2026, NWH welcomed members of the Hardwood Manufacturers Association (HMA) to our Dorchester, Wisconsin facility as part of HMA’s 2026 Spring Regional Meeting. The event brought together hardwood industry professionals from across the country for facility tours, networking, and discussions focused on the future of the hardwood industry.Â
The Dorchester operation has been a key part of NWH’s manufacturing network for four decades. Today, approximately 70 employees support the site’s operations, producing high-quality hardwood lumber for customers across North America and around the world.
During the visit, attendees toured the facility and had the opportunity to see firsthand how logs are transformed into quality hardwood products. The tour highlighted the team’s focus on operational excellence, quality, and continuous improvement, including the site’s recently installed steamer. Currently used to steam 4/4 through 8/4 walnut, the new system is performing well and helping support the facility’s production capabilities.
Regional meetings like these provide valuable opportunities for industry leaders to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and learn from one another’s operations. NWH was proud to host fellow HMA members and showcase the people, processes, and investments that continue to strengthen the hardwood industry.
We would like to thank HMA, the event organizers, and all attendees for visiting Dorchester and making the regional meeting a success.
