Frisco, TX – NWH is pleased to announce that the 2025 Alder Seedling Program has reached an impressive milestone. This year alone, 35,000 Alder seedlings were planted across the Pacific Northwest, helping to counter the decline in Alder populations and boost species diversity.

Since the program began, a total of 70,000 seedlings have been planted, enhancing ecological balance and local biodiversity. This milestone showcases the power of community-driven efforts to nurture these vital hardwoods and underscores NWH’s commitment to environmental restoration and conservation.

“We’re thrilled to see how this program has brought communities together to protect and revitalize Alder populations,” said Caitlin Wind, Log Procurement Specialist at NWH. “It’s a testament to the difference we can make when we all work toward a common goal of sustaining our region’s natural resources.”

With the success of the 2025 Alder Seedling Program, NWH looks forward to a greener, more sustainable future for the region.
